Cherie Zhou is a researcher in cognitive and cultural psychology. Her work examines how culture shapes cognition, behavior, and psychological processes across diverse contexts. She also explores how large language models can be leveraged to support emotional regulation, self-reflection, and psychological well-being. Across these lines of work, she is interested in how psychological insights can inform the design of supportive, culturally sensitive AI-based tools.
