Jiwon Kim

Jiwon (“G-1”) Kim is a political scientist whose research focuses on human rights, democracy, and peace. Using natural language processing, statistical modeling, and survey experiments, she examines how international and domestic politics affect institutions and international norms. Most recently, she is studying why citizens become more willing to tolerate restrictions on civil rights and executive constraints in response to perceived threats to security and social order.
