Associate Professor of HDFS

I have been at the Penn State Abington location since 1977 teaching courses in Human Development and Family Studies and then also in Psychology when we became a 4 year location with a program in Psychological and Social Sciences. I have done research in various domains but culminating in the last decade with books that expose unethical medical researchers from the 1900’s who committed serious ethical violations in their work. My involvement with the Rock Ethics Institute as a faculty affiliate, and similarly with the Bioethics Program, has been enriching and motivating (especially as a campus faculty member) as I continue to try and de-glorify the names of, or at least contextualize the work of, such researchers.
